🇺🇬📍The Local, spring rd Bugolobi (right next to Shisanyama) The local has just opened a new branch, and it’s a serious step up from their Kyanja spot. The space is much larger, with classy, aesthetic interiors — big window panes, lots of light, very chic. Honestly, walking in felt like an out-of-Uganda experience. But it also made me pause: are all the new Kampala restaurants starting to look the same with these glass-heavy designs, or is this just the new “standard”?🤷🏻‍♀️ The Bugolobi dust 😤 is a hassle getting there, but once you’re inside, it’s worth it. Parking is limited, but they do have a valet, and since it’s right on the main road, it’s easy to find. Service was a bit mixed for me. The first waitress came over chewing gum and didn’t take our order, then sent someone else who was much more attentive. Not terrible, but I definitely prefer the smoother service at the Kyanja branch. Menu is the same as Kyanja’s (with a QR code to scan), and the food still slaps just as hard. We just got the Mango & Strawberry Mojitos – 15,000 UGX each with Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings – 35,000 UGX (portion leans more towards fries than wings, but that’s kind of inevitable, and everything tasted great) I think this spot will be even more stunning at night with the lighting, but overall — solid food, good vibes, and a fresh addition to the Kampala dining scene. • • • #KampalaEats #searchengine #viraltiktok #contentcreators #searchengineoptimization
