I saw a pelvic floor therapist after I had a complete hysterectomy. I used to wear a liner all the time just in case but not anymore. Totally worth it and covered by my insurance.

Specialized physiotherapists for pelvic floor. Three sessions and then I go for biyearly check ups. No more peeing while I sneeze. Run or exercise. Not many people know this!

I got a hysterectomy because of fibroids and that took care of my stress incontinence and I can go so much longer between peeing. I had always thought it was age or pregnancy/birth related.

I had a sling put in and it didn’t help and then inside of a year it poked into my v so I had to have it removed. I ended up going back on the pill and have been fine since. Wish I never had the surgery and wish I knew about other options to try first.

How does a patient get through a pelvic exam with this issue when they have a lingering cough? Just defer the exam for a few months? Or power through (but the poor doctor during that exam!)
