In 2024, a disturbing case out of The Village, Oklahoma came to light after an 18-year-old woman with an intellectual disability gave birth, and authorities could not initially determine who the father of her baby was. The young woman and her mother reportedly told authorities that a boyfriend was the father, but the story quickly raised questions. At one point, the young woman reportedly told a DHS worker that she believed her own father could be the baby’s father. Investigators collected DNA from the male members of the household. The results revealed something even more disturbing: the baby's biological father was the woman's 19-year-old brother, Nathaniel Molden Jr. During questioning, Molden Jr. admitted to having sexual contact with his sister approximately two years before the baby's birth. He also reportedly told investigators that their parents had caught the siblings together in the past and punished them, but never reported the abuse or took steps to prevent it from happening again. Nathaniel Molden Jr. was arrested and charged with incest. His parents, Nathaniel Molden Sr. and Tameeka Molden, were also arrested and charged with child neglect for allegedly failing to protect their daughter. The victim and her newborn were placed in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. The case later moved beyond the initial arrests. Molden Jr. ultimately pleaded guilty to incest and received a seven-year prison sentence. Tameeka Molden later entered a no-contest plea to child neglect and received a seven-year deferred sentence, while Nathaniel Molden Sr. was later sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to child neglect. This case is a disturbing example of how an investigation that began with a question about a baby's paternity ultimately uncovered allegations of sexual abuse and a failure by the people responsible for protecting a vulnerable young woman. #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #CrimeStories #crimedocumentary #justiceforvictims
