@goodgood3d: Get the project file on Patreon or come hang and ask me questions on discord ( https://linktr.ee/goodgood3d ) Another addition to my archive of post apocalyptic inspired geo node assets that I put together for a side project I’m working on. I'm not sure what took me so long to attempt a brick wall - I always imagined it to be harder than it was, especially creating the consistent checkerboard layout. Thanks to Joey Carlino's ( @Robospunk ) brick wall tutorial I found a really elegant solution that didn't break my brain. Once that's nailed the majority of the work is creating a decent shader which is always my favourite part of making Geometry Node assets. I kept (almost) everything as instances rather than realised geometry for performance so had to learn some new tricks for passing over attributes and mapping textures properly. There are other little details in there like the rubble piles and custom controls that I really like but there's still more I'd like to add. I think the next step is using it in an active project and finessing the features from there. #b3d #blenderart #blenderartist #3dart #3dartist #geonodes #geometrynodes

instead of using a simulation zone could you not use the points on a curve to give you a level of non-frantic control?
