another very simple reason might be that in an airport with a crazy complex taxi the routing must be fully understood and agreed by both pilots before starting to "clean up" the aircraft. In this case probably also the speedbrakes will stay up until the taxi is sorted out

Back in the day some of our freighter guys would drop the flaps when parking on the FBO ramp to protect the small aircraft parked behind them.
