I work in BR got asked yesterday where I'm from? I replied St.Bernard...right outside of new orleans ...customer says...oh sounds like u from Brooklyn or somethin. "there is a historical connection why our accents are similar" look it up

My yat only comes out when I’m fussing at my kids or husband😂😂 Other times I sound like Mississippi (slow drawl), especially after lots of wine😂……born and raised in New Orleans, but my mama was raised in Mississippi 🥰
