A nice car is a marker of success for people. I grew up with clunkers/ beaters so a nice car “looks” like wealth and success to me. Had a friend get brand new Benz for HS graduation to match both her parents. That’s the baseline for her. Her marker of success is a vacation home.

Get this all the time. I’m on my 3rd Audi and people make assumptions that I don’t do the regular service intervals or get oil changes. Some of us just enjoy having a nice car and set aside $ for it. Life’s short. Get the car.

I bought a cayenne a few years ago and it is so worth it. I love my car. If you plan for the maintenance and have a little savings in case anything goes wrong you’ll be fine.

I want my next car to be a Lexus but right now I drive a paid off 2011 Toyota Camry. It’s dented, it’s bruised, but my only fixed expense is $90 a month for insurance. Mobility + financial freedom.

People are to invested in other peoples lives. I have a Camry I drive for long commutes and a brand new Audi Q8 for the weekends and more city driving. People should be able to get what they want without any assumptions.
