You lay your crown molding flat that’s why it’s called a compound miter saw!

As a trim carpenter i have had these for years. They definitely cut your cutting time in half. awesome little accessories!

Yeah I cut crown flat. Most saws have the angle and bevel already marked.

oooooooòor.. you can do it like I did by holding it tight with my HANDs.. making mistakes until I figured out how to cut crown molding flawlessly without more weight in my tool box. a true carpenter can load 5 crews in the back of a honda. one pair of hands is better than thousands of dollars of useless name brand tools.

FYI Dewalt has had them for along time that’s why they have the threaded holes already

We refer to that as spring angle and call those crown stops. Or make a jig that mounts to the saw and use

all you guys saying to lay it flat, yes thats the original way and I did that for a few years till I found these. it is definately not faster to lay it flat. these stops help efficiency on the jobs items and as long as you set them with the crowns angle they cut your time in half. im not sure why yall wouldn't want to be more efficient. that equals more money and less time. unless most of yall commenting aren't trim/finish carpenters. 🤷♂️

If you can use a compound miter saw properly you don’t need this!
