He didn’t suspect her or misunderstand her guys. He found out the cousin was listing over her and he was triggered when she said the cousin ( Mr Wei) gave her an incense warmer which she kept with her other treasured stuff but after what he found out, he didn’t want her to have it. So he got upset that she was even defending him, he just got triggered.

wish I hadn't read the novel, see him as a walking red flag 🤣 but I try to think they are two different stories . In the novel, she's disgusted by him so many times. But she knows it's her duty as a wife, not something she wants from her heart. (I haven't finished the novel yet)

I guess he didn’t misunderstood her .He juz got so shocked by that news + juz jealous ab that .（I mean juz take a look back that clip , he juz asked ab why she kept that thing in her treasure box.When she explained ab it,he juz scold her that not every boys on earth is that simple as she thinks.)
