tree sap will take the lacquer of a normal cars paint job but I've never heard it mentioned before about customers complaining to manufacturers. but on a side note, its funny how non stainless, the stainless steel really is. wrap it the adhesive stains it and now sap stains it. may as well just call it steel at this point
