dude I went to college. $45,000 for jobs that pay $18-24 an hour. unless RN, Doctor, Engineer, finances or the 2yr degrees for HVac/etc..100000% not worth the $$.

My husband has a college degree. He’s a blue collar worker. Our son just graduated high school and the trade school from a dual enrollment program. He’s not going to college. Straight into trade.

Get a degree only to be told they don’t have 5 years of experience and then most of what you’re actually going to learn comes from doing the job in the first place.

The attack on higher education has been going on for the past 5 years at least! The costs are ridiculous but political leaders have been attacking it and parents discourage their kids from going. It’s a coordinated attack to try to get more people into the trades but kids don’t want to do that either.

Blue collar jobs is where the money is at. Blue collar jobs are a dying thing. My local plumbers and mechanics are easily making 250k-300k a year because no one knows the jobs anymore. These guys get to set their own rates and hours. And I'm in middle of nowhere Florida.

I have an engineering undergrad deveee and an MBA. I wish I never went to college. The strident loan debt is crushing. I would have been better off staying at that blue collar job I had while going to college
