There’s no way I will ever get over the fact that I.. Bought detox teas from GNC  (with my employee discount) at 17 years old, thinking they would help me look skinnier and then took them at my boyfriend’s frat house, not knowing the effects.. Would put sugar-free syrup on literally anything and convince myself it was dessert (yes the egg whites, but I swear there was a point where I put sugar-free syrup on carrots and lettuce).  I spent about four years at the beginning of my fitness journey, struggling heavily with my relationship with food.. And now: I eat out multiple times per week I probably around three times the amount of carbs that I was when I started my fitness journey  I take vacations off of tracking macros because I know it won’t ruin any of my progress  I eat over double the amount of calories I was at this point I am more confident in my body and making more progress with muscle development plus I maintain a lower body fat percentage year round I don’t restrict any of the foods that I love! So how did I get here?  Through understanding energy balance, and how to optimize my metabolism. Plus healing my relationship with food in my body along the way!
