In Islam, the love between spouses is something beautiful and valuable. The Prophet ﷺ said: "What is permissible in private should not be done in public." — (Narrated by Al-Bukhari in meaning, and also supported by the general principle of modesty). Affectionate gestures such as kisses, even on the cheek , are considered part of the emotional and physical ‘awrah, which should be preserved between husband and wife, not shown before others, even if they seem "light." This is to protect modesty, the spiritual nature of marriage, and to avoid normalizing what may lead to excess. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was the most loving to his wives, yet he never displayed such gestures in public. He is our best example. I hope you receive this advice with the same care and sincerity with which it is given. May Allah bless you both and increase you in love and taqwa.
