That's what I do. We get to know Bear. Adventurer, as drunk as he is reliable. And the story quickly picks up. By page 50 we know already enough wb to have a good Picture of the world

The start of my series in a nutshell: a king who’s kingdom is on the verge of collapsing, so as a final effort, they decided to have their grand mage attempt to perform a forbidden summoning spell to conjure up either disaster, a monster, a hero to save the kingdom in its most dire and desperate state, but little did they know, a certain god of chaos decided to interfere with the summoning ritual, and thus a far future version of earth is summoned into the world of magic by accident.

I made a quick fable prologe that explains everything that needed to be known about Astraia. If you can make your prologe three pages. Short,Sweet, to the point. Give the bare bones world building there and make sure your world building is completely tied to your story. Don't tell us there's a hallway of endless doors where each door takes you to a new land unless the whole book takes place in that hallway and each chapter is about a new land.

Imo the lore is brilliant to have for yourself but the main focus should always be the story, I don't want to read about the history unless I actually like it not to be rude

What if let’s say chapter 3 is when it starts to build up, and there is a lot of crucial information that the reader must know to understand what’s going on. Is it then possible to explain a lot of it in the first 2 chapters in different ways so that it’s not just a list?
