There is racism within Arab culture, however, please don't conflate Arab culture with Islam. Slavery is condemned in Islam wholeheartedly that the atonement for a sin such as accidental killing is to free an oppressed person, and early Muslims used to purchase slaves just to free them. I first heard about this 3 weeks ago while looking at visiting Zanzibar only to find out it was a slave port, the Seychelles too. I quickly found out about the east Africa slave trade after that
