tmac was a great player and potentially a half of famer but also in sports that people forgetting, injuries can diminish your career lol and that's what happened with Tmac great player short career in NBA which led to him not being in discussions amongst greats especially Kobe not even in same level lol

Peak tmac>peak Kobe. Look at advanced stats 06 Kobe has a per of 27 and 03 tmac has a 31 per which was the most in the NBA that year and tmac 03 szn is top 20 in bpm of all time and has the second highest offensive bpm of any season in NBA history only behind 2015 curry which is the best offensive peak ever.Kobe doesn’t have a season s good as 03 tmac.Peak Kobe also had a (VORP) of 8 and peak tmac had a Vorp of 9.3 which is a significant difference,also tmac had the highest Vorp in the league that year, and only a couple people in history have better seasons. This clearly shows that 2003 tmac was more valuable to the magic than prime kobe was to the laker even when both teams struggled tmac statistically made a larger impact offensive impact than Kobe and was a more efficent player and scorer. Tracy Mcgradys two seasons where he won the scoring title are the two most efficient scoring title winning seasons of any guard in nba history so he was a better passer,scorer,rim protector and the most efficient overall player in the league in his prime which Kobe never was and he had more offensive contributions a game than Kobe and almost as much on defence he was an elite defender he just wasn’t used for that in Orlando bc his ultra efficient scoring, but he was drafted by Toronto to be used as a lockdown defender and that’s what he done while he was there one of the best rim protectors in the world for someone who wasn’t a centre. He also averaged more blocks,assists,boards and less rebounds per game and 32 ppg which is still unbelievable especially for being the most efficient player in the league.
