my dad has zero concept of the original source material for work, so he had none of the hangups for the show that og fans from the books did. he genuinely was SO invested in the show just for the shows same! and he's SO BUMBED that they canceled it without wrapping up the story in any way!

I started wheel of time with the TV show but the show was so good after season 3 ended i wanted more so I started the books im on book 6 now and I hate that the show isn't going to continue I loved it yes its different then the books and some things I like better in the books but the show was amazing and so were the actors and actresses I hope rosamund continues the audio books but idk if she will with the show ending

Same exact reason I read. All shows & movies are remakes or based on books. At least I can finish a series when it’s a book!

as if they didn't invest 1billion in the awful Rings of Power... Amazon claiming money issues is hilarious unless somehow ppl are actually boycotting Amazon n their money has lowered but I highly doubt it

There wasn't enough people watching it to justify its expense, they probably shouldn't have alienated book fans woth there poor writing choices. With its cancellation maybe we can now get a good adaptation dowm the road.

I've seen people saying Amazon is going to made a Mass Effect series (an expensive sci-fi with space magic and aliens...). They've dropped a series for being expensive and what to pick up another expensive story? 🤡

I distinctly remember being a tween and holding Wheel of Time in one hand, and Dragonlance in the other. I feel like my whole life's trajectory would have been different if I chose WoT. I'm glad I went with Dragonlance. 😅

HBO is the only hope for WoT to actually reach the potential it’s capable of/ deserves. Amazon was always its holdback because they NEVER market or promote their shows properly—if at all. The only problem is HBO is invested in House of the Dragon right now, as well as the other spinoff that’s happening, plus the new Harry Potter series that’s contracted for 7 seasons. Unfortunately, I highly doubt they will consider adding an additional fantasy series to their lineup, especially one that wasn’t theirs from the jump. :(

Here’s what happened: the fanbase that’s left after driving out the fans who came from the books is very loud but not very big, and because of that it seems like there were more people watching than actually were. It also skewed the ratings.
