Homemade Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Bars for ep. 34 of Better Than Store-Bought! 🍪🥜 It’s SO easy to make your own protein bars at home. If you’ve ever had a Perfect Bar, the texture of these is super similar – they basically taste like cookie dough bars! A few notes on the recipe: -The amount of protein will depend on how much protein your protein powder has per serving. We used a whey-based protein powder with 25g per scoop. -You can increase the amount of protein by changing the ratio of protein powder to oat flour. As long as you use 2 cups total between the two ingredients, the consistency should not be affected. -Some brands of oat flour aren’t meant to be consumed raw. Read your packaging, and if you’re concerned, you can heat treat the oat flour by spreading it on a sheet pan and baking it in a 300˚F oven for 10 minutes, until it reaches 160˚F! RECIPE: Makes 10 bars. The amount of protein will differ depending on brands used. Ours came out to about 15g of protein per bar. You can find full nutritional information on our website. 1 cup creamy peanut butter 6 tbsp (3 oz) maple syrup or honey 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup protein powder of choice 1 cup oat flour (see note above in caption about oat flour safety) 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips In a mixing bowl, beat together the peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla and salt until smooth. Add in the protein powder and oat flour and continue mixing until well incorporated. It will form a crumbly mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips. Transfer the mixture to an 8x8” pan lined with parchment paper. Press the mixture firmly into the pan in a flat layer, using the bottom of a measuring cup or a sturdy drinking glass. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours before slicing. For the best consistency, keep these stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. #protein
