Potentially hot take. I think it’s appropriate to just invite the kids who are important to you. I wanted our nephews & my MOH’s son there, but not my cousin’s kid I’ve never met.

I attended a wedding where an unsupervised child almost drowned. The bride (a sheriff deputy) and the groom (a paramedic) were the ones who jumped into the pond to save him. The bride & groom ended up getting married while wearing gym clothes they had in their trunk bc their wedding clothes were ruined by the pond water.

No kids. Parents don’t supervise them when they are sober, let alone drunk. They are bored out of their mind, and don’t belong at a wedding. Period. When they hit teen years, it depends on the kid. Reassess at 14+.

💯 No kids. I’ve been to weddings with kids and also no kids. Dance floor gets taken over by kids. Fingers in cake. Drinks knocked over.

The weddings I went to as a kid I do not remember at all. Wanna know what I DO remember though? Being bored out of my mind and hating all the food and drunk adults. Leave the younger kids at home, maybe 14+ can be invited depending on closeness honestly.

Hard to say which side I would be on. I have 5 kids and if my friend is having a No Kid wedding I would find a babysitter!! If it’s a kid friendly wedding then I bring the kids! Would never be upset at my friends decision concerning their wedding!!
