I am a licensed electrician in Texas. please remember that the average circuit is a 20 amp circuit and basically will hold about 19 amps which is equivalent to 2280 watts. so be careful not to overload the circuit like other people are saying

Are you gonna do is overload your circuit? Just buy a surge protector. A good quality, one with a trip bar on it. Cheaper and safer.
