@crmnallyobsessed: It was Memorial Day weekend in 1984 and 8-year-old Marjorie Christina Luna aka “Christy” left her home in Greenacres, Florida to get cat food for her kittens, Boo Boo and Skeeter. Christie was headed to Belk’s General Store, a short 400 feet from her home. The clerk remembers seeing her between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. but no one has seen her since. Over the last 41-years, one detective has worked tirelessly to solve Christy's cold case. Detective William Springer, who is now retired, continues to work the case part-time. There have been a number of suspects; most recently a man who goes by Jerry Grof, but whose real name is Jerry Bailey. He’s currently on parole in Michigan for a child pornography conviction. Springer flew to Michigan last year to interview Jerry after a photo of Christy was found on his phone. Jerry claims he downloaded it from the dark web, “because he liked it.” Springer cannot place Jerry in Palm Beach County, but he’s asking the public to think back to the mid 1980’s, “If you recognize Jerry Bailey or his father, Leroy Allen Bailey-if you think you ever saw them in Palm Beach County, please come forward.” Christy’s mother, Jennie Johnson is battling leukemia and she needs closure. If you have ANY information- no matter how small- contact the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Unit at 561-688-4000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS
