@gardenzaddy: As a no-spray gardener (not even “organic” pesticides) my ecosystem generally takes care of itself when it comes to pests, and the only time I have to intervene is during the summer when certain caterpillars can quickly decimate entire plants. Tomato hornworms can turn a healthy tomato plant into sticks in a matter of days, and the cloudless sulphur caterpillars will eat all of my popcorn cassia seeds. My solution? Pluck them off and feed them to my beloved birds and lizards. The ecosystem is still safe and thriving, and my annuals aren’t decimate - perfect integrated pest management. #integratedpestmanagement #ipm #tomatohornworm #hornworm #organicpestcontrol #organicgardeningmethods
