@heavenlyhomeschool: Replying to @Jess✨Heavenly Homeschool PART 3: Learning to Read Program by Christian Light Education - Inside a Lesson Here’s a look at a full lesson with the Learning to Read Program. The lessons are split into two sessions and cover a variety of phonics, grammar, comprehension, and spelling activities. Your child will be reading stories in both their light units and in their daily reader books. Handwriting is involved too! This may seem like a lot at first, but I promise every component is necessary and you will start to breeze through these lessons as you get used to it. And don’t forget, homeschooling means we make our own schedules, so you are free to split a lesson up over 2 days! *Drop all your questions ❤️ #christianlighteducation #homeschoolcurriculum #learningtoread #howtohomeschool #cle #readingcurriculum #homeschoolcurriculum
My son will be in 1st grade in the fall. He knows all of his letters sounds, can blend most sounds and can read more than just sight words. He does struggle with spelling words longer than 3-4 letters correctly- even if he can read them correctly. What light unit do you recommend we start on in the fall? Should we start at the beginning or is the beginning basically the concepts he already knows? Thanks!! Your videos are so helpful !😊

Could you do a video of tips on how to use CLE with multiple kids? We have four kids similar to your family in ages. I am really thinking of switching to CLE but wasn't sure how logistically it will work with teaching multiple kids, especially as they all are older.

A tip, you may not have mentioned, is that some kids take a LONG time to complete. But, once they got it, they got it.

Does this seem like a lot for one day or no? Just curious? How much time does it take bc there are other subjects you do in a day

@Jess✨Heavenly Homeschool We started homeschooling in February and are currently working through LTR 106. Looks like we may not finish the first-grade curriculum until around November.
I’m a bit concerned about the timing, especially with the possibility of starting the PEP program. I’m worried that we might be behind and that he may not do well on the required testing for PEP. Any thoughts or suggestions???? Thank you

I love the way it's laid out. but it looks expensive. unfortunately I have to stick with learning should never be behind a paywall. I would love to have stuff like that but price matters big time!
