Okay. I worked at Ulta. Most of the damaged they do are used products that have been opened and returned. I would say just be careful what you take!

As a former employee: I wouldn't recommend doing this even if you do sanitize it. There's always a reason we throw this stuff out. It's usually because a customer returned it after using, so it's unsanitary.
