two differences: 1- consent: at beach or swimming pool, you voluntarily display whatever you are comfortable with (within local law parameters) 2- context: most people are in similar attire & hence not all attention is focused on you based on how exposed you are.

My neighbor once yelled at me for mowing my lawn in shorts and a sports bra (because it was like 100°f out) claiming it was public indecency. I was on my private property, so the next week I did it in a bathing suit just to spite her

This is so on point !! I am a woman who chose to wear hijab at the age of 30 and it was life changing. The west has convinced you that this is freedom! Muslim women are the ones who are free!
