@remodelschool: Replying to @RonaldTreason In today’s episode of how we built America I’m showing how we were able to cut and mold stone for some of our most beautiful buildings at the turn of the 20th century. #construction #americanhistory #architecturelovers #homebuilding #homedesign #architecture #remodelschool @Remodel School @Remodel School @Remodel School
This is so unbelievably gaslighting my man 😭 I’m a second from blocking you if you stitch another one of my vids 😮💨

But how were the pyramids built?

Jacob :
The difference between then and now is craftsman ship and skill. Not everything, but a lot of new stuff is shoddy because they’re trying to cost cut. Back then they weren’t so profit driven.

being possible doesnt mean it happened. there are way too many holes in the narrative beyond the tooling imo

they used copper tools with sand as an abrasive to cut the granite. they also have pictures of them pouring water in front of the blocks to move them. tests show it lowers friction by 50%

Check out the stone work on the Mormon temple in Salt Lake. They managed detail in granite that should be impossible.

If sand was being used as the abrasive would the teeth of the saw primarily act to clear material?

Also, where are these 13’ spinning bough wheels? I live here and I have never heard of any of these “techniques” being utilized. Why did they not document any of these carving techniques if they were so ubiquitous? Why do you only have drawings of these machines in use? 😭

Also dawg, those “imperfections” are a result of an earthquake, and we have no ability to even repair it today let alone build it a century ago. Enough 😤

Just dudes with nothing to do figuring shit out. It's honestly impressive, it never occured to me how they got the massive blocks to work with after forced labor
