Pinch flowers back the first year to encourage root growth! It means delayed gratification but it’s worth it next season!

one other trick to get more years and bigger harvest is to sacrifice the first year fruit by cutting off every flower before they can fruit. we did this at a farm I worked at and the would get 5yrs before having to replant

100%. We got an ever-bearing vatiety and although it took a season to take off, the 50 plants we got at the price we got them are making a HUGE crop throughout the year. The only problem now is finding enough strawberry recipes 😏
