I just stopped using study methods that looked productive… but didn’t actually help me learn. These are the techniques I still use 👇 🧠 3-2-1 Method (When you keep procrastinating) Every time your brain says, “I’ll start in 10 minutes…” Count: 3️⃣…2️⃣…1️⃣… GO. The longer you think, the less likely you are to start. This method helps you act before your brain finds another excuse. ⏳ 5-Minute Rule (When you have zero motivation) Tell yourself: “I’ll only study for 5 minutes.” That’s it. You can stop after 5 minutes if you want. But most of the time, once you start, your brain builds momentum and studying suddenly feels much easier. 🍅 Pomodoro Technique (When you lose focus quickly) Don’t use it for every session. Use it when your attention keeps drifting. 📖 40 minutes of focused study ☕ 10 minutes of rest Instead of forcing yourself for hours, give your brain short deadlines. You’ll usually get more done in less time. 🎙️ Feynman Technique (When you think you’ve understood a chapter) Understanding isn’t the same as remembering. A few hours later or even the next day, close your notes and explain the topic like you’re teaching someone for the first time. 👥 Teach a friend. 🎤 Or explain it to ChatGPT Voice. The parts where you get stuck are exactly what you need to revise. 📝 Active Recall (To actually remember what you studied) Don’t read the chapter again. Close your notebook and ask yourself: ❓What do I remember? ❓Can I explain it without looking? ❓Can I solve a question from this topic? Your brain remembers information much better when it has to retrieve it. 🌿 The One-Minute Reset (Before every study session) If you’ve been scrolling or watching videos… Don’t start studying immediately. 👀 Close your eyes. 🌬️ Take slow breaths for one minute. It helps your brain slow down, making it much easier to concentrate on your first study session.
