It being the Des Moines police doesn't shock me. They would rather catch a murderer than prevent the murder. My ex just plead guilty to 3rd degree harassment...a simple misdemeanor and $110 fine. He told everyone he could that he was coming in to shoot me. But they extended my PFA to 2030...whooping ding. No jail time...no anything and he posted publicly on FB several times. How many more women have to die when we go to the police for help??!?!? 6 of them in the last year alone have died at the hands of men that had PFAs against them!! The detective basically told me to arm myself and pray. IT IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!!
