my eldest is very much an alt kid, baggy, grungy clothes, always drawing 'tattoos' on herself and she started getting comments at school and I told her, if you're going to go against the crowd and look different then you have to own that, be that to your core and what they say doesn't matter. be weird and be proud of it (having a pierced and tattooed mum helps too 😂)
