People who say this is bad a movie seriously doesn't get the main point. NO ONE is normalizing cheating, and the movie isn't even about it. Yes, cheating is wrong on many levels, especially because the other guy loved her genuinely as well. But the main reason (at least from my point) why people like this movie is because of the genuine love and bond they shared. He never stopped loving her, nor did she. He kept his promise. He treated her with all the respect and love he could give her. And I don't think people realize how much her parents, especially her mother's actions, took a tool on her as well. She hid all the letters and convinced her to marry someone who could be more stable and would be able to provide. Besides, the other guy she was supposed to marry didn't know her real, genuine side, like she said "I used to paint" and he didn't even know that before their own weddings. It's a small but important detail. And me personally, I would also choose Noah. Because he would be someone who actually loves me and knows all my sides, even the weird or forgotten ones. It's better to make decisions the last minute than regret it for the rest of your life and also hurt the other person while doing so.
