Syracuse NY native here, with friends who work there; this has been a major blow to our community. TCGPlayer was at one point the fastest growing company in the area, founded by a local man, and brought hope to our dying rustbelt city we've not had since Carrier left in the 90s. it is an absolute heartbreak to have them fail to miserably.

unfortunately as a small time seller, there's really no other good purpose built platform. what we really need is another way for small local stores and individual sellers to enter the marketplace. they're kinda the only shop in town.

TCGplayer was bought out by EBay. While I'm not removing blame on TCG, I do place quite a bit of blame on EBay. I know that TCG is being moved to Kentucky, which seems like a huge mistake and is being done for zero reason.

Problem with CK, SCG, CF, BFG, etc is that they have considerable mark ups compared to most of the market on TCGP and eBay.
