@ai.for.real.life: Just tested out the new Agent Underlord from Descript, and yes, this video was actually edited by it. This was my first real pass using what they’re calling Vibe Editing, where you tell the AI what you want and it does the editing for you. Think jump cuts, captions, and animated text graphics, all done automatically just by typing in your requests. It still has a long way to go though. I left out the B-roll because it didn’t quite nail that part. There are also a few moments that dragged more than I would have liked. But for a first run, it’s wild to see where this is headed. Here’s what I didn’t know until I tried it: • You can’t talk to it yet. You have to type your changes in. • It’s more like a collaborator than just an assistant. • It notices things like poor eye contact or bad audio and offers fixes. • It uses Descript’s AI Studio to clean up sound. • It can match your brand style just from a screenshot. • And it can even build a video from just an idea. No script needed. I think this could be a big shift for creators, especially anyone who’s been on the fence about long-form content because of how time-consuming it is. This could change that.
