It’s one of the nastiest addictions and also the least spoken about. It sickens me how you can’t even watch football without gambling being plastered all over the kits and advertising. RIP to your dad 😔

Ruined 20 years of my life gambling. Lost eveything and everyone I ever had in my life. Unless you’ve been through it personally or have been close to someone and watched them ruin their life, it’s very hard to relate to. I always say that it’s the worst addiction that exists. Because if you’re addicted to a drug, you know if you overdose then that’s it, but with gambling you overdose every single day, but you still wake up the next day and have the opportunity to do it again. It’s also advertised everywhere so it’s in your face constantly, there’s no escape from it. Sorry you had to go through this and lose someone you loved x
