I had a cervical biopsy done and it hurt, I started crying. The male doctor tells me,why you crying it wasnt that bad. 🥺 How would he know?

They took SIX spots off my cervix at age 22 with no numbing. When I asked the Gynecologist if they numb it, he said there’s not enough nerve endings in the cervix and then he did the punches in the cervix, finished and told me to wear a pad because I’ll have coffee ground looking discharge while it healed. Completely traumatized me. Felt so dehumanizing… I’m so sorry babes. I feel your pain. We are disgusting to women in the health field.

I hope all of these WOMEN in the comments talking about how 'It's not that bad' can take some serious consideration into the notion that not only is pain relative but also downgrading a woman's pain is actually a classic misogynistic trope and a way for men to treat us like ahit and say things like 'We're too emotional and weak' It is not only okay to show how badly something hurts you but also I woukd see it as encouraged so that maybe..just maybe....shit will change and these men will actually start taking our pain and needs seriously.

wtf? colposcopy is just an eye examination through a magnifying device, and the device itself remains outside. nothing, literally nothing more than a regular examination. how can it hurt (besides the usual discomfort from the mirror or whatever the speculum is called in English). maybe they did something else?

My last Colposcopy.... The doctor was like, "Its just a little pinch".. It was very painful.. the exam table and floor looked like a crime scene....

My husbands vasectomy was treated like a major surgery and I’ve had two colposcopies and wanted to die. It was traumatic.

I have never heard anyone complain about colposcopy, until now. I've done 15+ of them. Mild discomfort at worst. No numbing of any kind is used here. Wtf are your doctors even doing to have you in so much pain?
