another tip: if you have a flat tire in the front, take the tire from the back of the car and put it in the front instead then put the spare tire on the back

You can put the flat tire next to the jack for added safety until the spare is on

I know this is a little late for a comment but another tip is to put the flat tire under the car in case your jack falls. Especially if you’re on the side of the interstate or something and a big truck passes you and blows it off. 😭
