Hi there, you must chop down the tree that you harvest from as it won’t give any more fruit. You harvest the banana rack by chopping down the tree (cut itslowly from one side and the tree will slowly fall to that side) and the rack will slowly fall to the side and it’s easier to harvest without ladders etc. The pups are kept and grown a little larger and then you can separate from mother plant and transplant if you want as that will give you your next harvest of bananas. The tree that is chopped down is great for composting in place.
