if you are not carrying, you do not need to identify. however, it's good practice to provide the ccl anyway. but you don't have to and imo, you shouldn't.

Why not tell the officer if you are or are not carrying. You’re making it easier for you and the officer. It also allows them to remove your firearm just so the officer feels safe because there jobs involves dealing with people that have ill intention towards anyone in uniforms. (Which yes I have let them know and have never had any issues when telling them I’m carrying) why does everyone gotta make it difficult for officers.
