Increasing the Pell grant credit hour requirement would make it significantly more difficult for students that work in college to balance school and work. The students that need the Pell grant are the ones that work the most.

Cuts to grad school and professional school loans to 100k is horrible. Medical school for example costs 300k average. How are bright students going to afford the cost of medical school? Especially given that we’re in a physician shortage, it will make it worse.

15 credits to qualify for the Pell grant is insane. You’d end up spending more money because you’d have to take more classes to get the qualification. That’s 5 classes a semester.

So knocking people off Medicaid and SNAP are not controversial? Also, it’s my understanding that the tax code changes would mean that those earning less would pay more than they do today. You make it seem as though everyone benefits. Do I have that wrong?
