When I worked full time we had a set schedule and more money to do what I need and wanted. As a sahm I've never been able to sleep in and if I didn't clean while the kids were in school I had to do while they were home and couldn't afford to get a break from that life. I'd rather live 100lives as a working full time mom single or married than a SAHM broke stuck at home

ive been both and I honestly stay at home mom is harder in my opinion my daughter does online home school and I have to help her mainly learn and I never get time to myself doing the same thing over and over is hard I felt going to work getting out talking to people to not leaving days the same over and over its exhausting I missed my kids when u worked housework wasn't a chore I'd rather be home and do housework when I went to work but when your home all the time it gets mundane I never get a break I wish I could chill but I cant there's always something or someone that needs me and im now anxiety ridden when I have to go in public and talk to people cause I dont have to anymore

I’ve been both and fr like I’d love to be home going to the park, zoo, aquarium etc everyday being able to nap, cleaning on my own time etc

Working moms aren’t doing everything sahms do. I’ve done both. Other people are taking care of my children 40+ hours a week. No one’s home making a mess 24/7 like when I’m a sahm. I guess it depends on your situation. Being a sahm is harder mentally. 🤷🏼♀️

who’s making a mess while you’re at work? who’s watching your kids? your house should be fairly clean when you come home so i definitely disagree. i think either way is hard but you’re not “doing all the same stuff plus working full time”

As someone who was a sahm, worked in the office mom, and was wfh mom....wfh moms have it harder! I'd be in a meeting with my toddler trying to climb in my shirt😂

Depends on your life. We homeschool so no one “leaves for 6 hours” 😊 hardest job I’ve ever had is being a homemaker. It is MY choice yes, but doesn’t mean it’s easy. Working out of the home for me was easy! I came home my house was clean, I was rejuvenated to take in my kids craziness etc etc lol

I’ve done both and staying home is way harder. I don’t mind doing stuff. Cooking cleaning working. That’s the easy part. The mental part is what makes it harder.

Being a SAHM chips away at your identity as a person outside of being a mom consistently. Working has you burning both ends, working from home has the worst of both. I’ve done all three. The only thing that helps is a village of friends and family.

Yeah it’s so much easier having 3 under 3 w NO village and when one goes to sleep, the other two are up all day because they dropped their naps. My kids aren’t school aged yet and plus our mental health ain’t the best. At least at work you get a break 🤣🤷🏻♀️I said what I said

Since I work in a school I get the SAHM life in the summer. All kids w/ me constantly, but it is way easier. I get more sleep, all my house projects done, house clean, homemade bread, garden grown. The days are still busy and I’m always like how do I do it all when I work? Never cease to amaze myself 😅

I’m a stay at home mom and you’re correct! I think when moms say it’s “harder” it’s just when you’re in the home with the kids under school age, whining and moaning.

Exactly!! SAHM are in control of their time and schedule. You can decide to cook or eat out. Do laundry or push it to tomorrow. No hard deadlines just doing what you want #easy
