While that is true, changing the way you eat to focus on lowering cholesterol (which is not inherently bad to have high cholesterol, it just can be an indicator of a larger issue) might not be best with overall better health. Lower cholesterol, sure, but at what cost?

Yesss! And to the people worried about an influx of omega 6 in the diet causing cancer, the solution is to increase omega 3s in the diet not remove omega 6!

most recent meta analysis (2022) shows there is no impact on ldl cholesterol and slightly increases hdl. there’s not a lot of research into this but like cheese, coconut oil proves to not have the same affects as most saturated fats
