Important to note - When it gets extremely hot outside in certain areas (e.g., Texas) it does become sticky and “melt”, trapping wildlife like lizards, toads, and other bugs

For the folks saying how to water, Mulch is permeable, the mulch lock does not create a unpermeable layer. We use similar stuff all the time in downtown urban areas to hold mulch in place where high foot traffic is present.
