Old Time Hawkey :

3 cups milk, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup flour, pinch salt. Add 3 yolks (tempered), cook 2 min, stir in 2 tbsp butter + 1.5 tsp vanilla. Layer wafers, bananas, pudding, and repeat. Top w/ meringue (3 whites, 1/4 tsp cream of tartar, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla). Bake 375°F till golden brown 🤝
