It only really makes sense on most German cars or other cars with filters on the top of the motor. Especially if you have to go under and take a skid plate off anyway to get at the filter.

Buy one of these for no mess, but you still have to climb underneath the vehicle to take the oil filter off. If you have to go underneath the vehicle anyways just remove the drain plug

FYI this won’t work with every car. Most of them won’t work. It’s great for Mercedes though

it works but leaves about 2/3 of a quarter still at the bottom so if you want a full clean you still need to go under the car. I have an audi as well like the guy in the video

I work in a oil change place and we have something similar it's called a evac we only used it if the plug is stuck or rounded we don't like doing it cause it isn't going to be able to get it all out like draining it does

Not good enough. The engine always leaves tiny shavings and dirt that can only come out with gravity.

also make sure your car's oil is warm, if you try to use a manual fluid extractor like this and the oil is cold you're gonna be pumping for a long time lol
