1. Hair Thinning or Shedding Okay, let’s be real I wasn’t prepared for the hair shedding. I started noticing it a few months in, especially after showering. For me, it wasn’t the medication alone it was the rapid weight loss and not hitting my protein goals. I’ve had to be really intentional with my supplements. 2. Muscle Loss I wish someone had told me about this earlier. I wasn’t strength training at all when I started GLP-1s, and I could literally feel myself getting weaker. Clothes were looser, sure but I started to look ‘skinny fat.’ Now, I focus on protein and do light resistance workouts to build it back. 3. Emotional Fatigue / Low Mood This one hit me out of nowhere. I’d go days feeling kind of… flat? Like my spark was missing. I think it’s from how your body and brain adjust to eating less and food used to be such an emotional comfort for me. I’ve had to find new ways to cope emotionally. 4. Constipation / Slowed Digestion Listen, I did not expect to talk about poop online, but here we are. Constipation is real on GLP-1s especially if you’re dehydrated or low on fiber. Magnesium, chia seeds, and lots of water have been game-changers for me. #glp1 #glp1forweightloss #gIpsideeffects #glp1community
