wow. red flag. enjoy those nervous first steps. I went and got food, entertainment whatever she wanted and slept on the chair doing all the first feeds so she could recover. jeeze. day one and already failing as a father.

1967. My dad sneaks out of the father’s waiting room, finds a bar, and sneaks back into the hospital, just as they gurney my mom out. My mom HATED it when he told that story. “Having a baby is easy!” He’d say! 🤣

I say both. You don’t leave your Missus to go and feast or sleep. Could have had the Baby while he was not there and missed the birth of his first born. I am never having kids as never known a man to give birth but even I know you do not ditch your Missus while she is in Labour.

I gave birth at 4:14am Christmas morning. Home in time to give my 14 month old lunch and then my (now ex) husband announces he was going to have a nap when I put her down for her sleep because he was “tired”! I was hungry…we had nothing else in other than the multi bird roast he insisted he wanted, so cooked a full Christmas dinner!!

my kids dad was like that & my oldest is nearly 20. same with our 2 girls aft c secs & i had 2 cook tea & do washing. thank God he's an ex & no contact with his kids

Lucky bloody him. My ex wife gave birth I was there best time of my life. Sadly for the rest of the time she did sod all, I raised my son,, worked 12 hour shifts 4 on 4 off and on my off time I looked after my so which I loved but not so much my ex going out partying as much as she could. Yep I’m a mug
