Julius Malema's farm, known as Schuilkraal 623 and located in Limpopo, was auctioned on June 10, 2013. The 140-hectare property, previously valued at approximately R4 million, was sold for R2.5 million to Callie Calitz of Wencor Holdings, an abattoir based in Polokwane. The auction followed a forfeiture order granted by the Pretoria High Court in March 2013. The National Prosecuting Authority's Asset Forfeiture Unit seized the farm, alleging it had been acquired using proceeds from fraud, corruption, theft, and money laundering. These allegations were linked to a R52 million tender irregularly awarded to On-Point Engineering, a company in which Malema's Ratanang Family Trust held shares. The proceeds from the sale, amounting to R2,436,795.56, were deposited into the Criminal Assets Recovery Account on August 21, 2015, to support law enforcement efforts against crime.
