I wore a thousand dollar ball gown for a fancy event we went to, and felt so ugly in it. He wanted pictures of him and our daughter (who had a role in the event) all evening. The only picture I have of my daughter and I is a selfie she took of us as we’re rushing out the door to leave for the night. You can see the fear in my eyes - fear that he’ll be mad that I kept him waiting, because we stopped for a few seconds to snap a photo. The glow up after I left was so real!!!

When I was young I married a DL guy. Thankfully I didn’t stay and got out. But to this day when I tell people I married a DL guy people find it hard to believe! It’s frustrating but I can’t care if they don’t believe me
