It’s catches you so offguard when someone does or say something to your kids. I’m always torn between being reactive and trying to maintain composure in front of my children. I guess it mainly depends on who’s with me.

My issue is when someone says something about the kids acting a certain way in public I take it personally and think its my fault when in reality they are just being children🤷♀️Im not just letting them roam free im doing my job they are just kids and people cant handle that in public.

Depending on this woman’s age, she was probably raised in a generation where children were to be seen and not heard, and she probably still carries that trauma from her childhood with her so nothing but positive vibes to her, but I also hope she steps her toe for being mean to you

Okay similar things happened to me. We were at sams and my son a few steps ahead was looking at water balloons and some lady tried to approach him. I quickly called him back and said loudly (enough so the lady can hear)to my son hes not in trouble but strangers should not talk to him. That hes good and i gave him permission
