I switched to owala because they are so much easier to clean than the yeti rambler.

I contacted yeti about this problem and they told me to boil the lid for 5 minutes. They did not recommend removing that straw compartment

This is why I will always be an owala girlie. Every piece pulls apart intentionally and can be cleaned.

That’s not mold. It’s dirt. Use the dishwasher. My kids have had the same yeti forever. I just checked theirs, it doesn’t have the dirt there.

They definitely come off , it’s just the manufacturer plastic making it difficult the first few times. If people aren’t taking these off I can’t even imagine how bad it gets lol my kids only drink water in theirs and this still happens !

Yes! I always boil mine and I could always see stuff under it so after I boiled it I took the straw off! I was disgusted, miy kids one’s were only 2 months old and were gross. I emailed Yetti and said fix your product that’s gross for a $$$ drink bottle. They sent me new kids as a gesture but I won’t be investing in there products anymore
